POSITION: Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems
that control machinery and processes in our industrial controls environment. This role
involves creating and managing control systems, such as HMI (Human Machine Interface)
applications, to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment. The Controls Engineer’s
goal is to optimize the performance, reliability, and safety of industrial processes through the
effective use of automation and control technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs, develops, installs, and supports industrial control systems and Human Machine
  Interface (HMI) applications.
• Provides project management services on directly assigned projects.
• Interfaces with customers during the design and implementation of control systems.
• Assists in the development of quotations and functional specifications.
• May be required to work independently or as a member of a project team.
• May provide training in control systems concepts, practices, and procedures to other
  Controls Engineers.
• Develops and maintains good customer relations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or an
  Associate’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline plus two (2) years of
  equivalent field experience.
• Experience with control system design and implementation concepts, practices, and
  procedures.
• Experience with programmable controllers, motor/motor controllers, electronic
  sensors and instrumentation.
• Experience reading P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) drawings and
  electrical schematics.
• Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) software, Microsoft Office
  applications, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, regulations and practices.
• Experience with servo controls.
• Automation, validation, and GMP experience in the pharmaceutical/medical devices
  industry.

POSITION: Panel Designer

The Panel Designer is responsible for designing and developing electrical control panels for
industrial systems. This role involves creating detailed layouts and electrical diagrams,
selecting appropriate components, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and
safety regulations. The Panel Designer collaborates with engineers and customers to
develop custom solutions that meet specific requirements. The Panel Designer also
performs testing of panels, troubleshoots design issues, and provides technical support
throughout the project lifecycle. The Panel Designer’s goal is to ensure the functionality,
reliability, and safety of our electrical control systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs CAD work to design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bill of
  materials.
• Investigates and recommends components based on the application and environment while
  maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
• Performs heating and/or cooling calculations during the panel design phase to ensure
  components are used within their ratings.
• Interfaces with the Controls Department to ensure designs and layouts are appropriate for
  the control system.
• Interfaces with customers during the quotation, design, and implementation phases of
  projects.
• Responsible for meeting project milestones and communicating any concerns or issues with
  the Control Engineer and Department Manager.
• Assists the Sales Department in developing quotations for control systems and panels as
  required.
• Assists other Designers by finalizing and redlining drawings.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and
  organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple concurrent
  projects and assigned tasks.
• Ability to work independently and in small teams as each project requires.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and possess a valid Driver’s License.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Requires an Associate Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and a
  minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience, or a minimum of four (4) years of
  job-related experience.
• Experience with programmable controllers, motor/motor controllers, electronic
  sensors, and instrumentation.
• Experience reading P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) drawings and
  electrical schematics.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, regulations, and best practices (includes
  UL 508A, NFPA 70 and NFPA 79 standards).
• Experience with control system design and implementation concepts, practices, and
  procedures.
• Proficient use with AutoCAD Electrical 2018 or higher.
• Proficient use with EPLAN Pro Panel 2022 or higher.

POSITION: Process Engineer

The Process Engineer is responsible for leading and participating in multi-disciplinary teams
that design and execute process upgrade projects for GES clients, a majority of those in the
food manufacturing segment. This role will include designing, optimizing, and overseeing
processes involved in manufacturing and production, to include analyzing workflows,
identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements to increase productivity, reduce
costs, and enhance quality. The Process Engineer’s goal is to collaborate with team
members within production, quality, and maintenance to ensure processes are safe,
efficient, and compliant with industry standards to drive operational excellence and
continuous improvement within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and support industrial process systems.
• Provide project management services, including responsibility for cost, manpower, and
  schedule.
• Develop project drawings and write specifications for equipment and contractor work.
• Interface directly with the client throughout the project cycle, from initial development to
  implementation.
• Manage a variety of outside contractors during project installation and startup.
• Estimate project costs and pursue business development opportunities.
• Source and procure equipment required for project design and execution.

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Familiarity with:
  • Food, beverage, and/or pharmaceutical process systems.
  • P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) drawings and electrical
    schematics.
  • Sanitary process system design standards such as USDA, 3A, and
    EHEDG.
  • Process instrumentation and componentry.
  • PLC-based control system hardware and software.
  • Automation, validation, and good manufacturing practice experience in
    relevant industries.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, regulations, and practices.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.

POSITION: Software Developer

The Software Developer will bring in-depth technical expertise to develop innovative
solutions within the automation sector, promoting significant professional growth and
advancement. Tasked with leading projects and making critical decisions, the Software
Developer role will also require effective teamwork on wider initiatives, contributing
substantially to the team’s success. The Software Developer is expected to master their
specialty areas and remain adept across various technological landscapes. The Software

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create modern, intuitive graphic user interfaces maximizing reusability through
  templates and standard code.
• Collaborate and work solo to create and upkeep software solutions across various
  automation tasks such as business software, data analytics and reporting, process
  visualization, web and administrative interfaces, and desktop tools.
• Develop software architecture following industry standards, focusing on enhancing
  performance, usability, and long-term maintainability.
• Produce clean, effective, and thoroughly documented code in compliance with
  company standards and industry best practices.
• Design and maintain front-end UI and back-end database solutions that perform
  efficiently and accurately to accomplish required tasks.

The Panel Builder is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to
detailed schematics and design specifications. The Panel Builder works closely with Engineers and
Designers to ensure panels are built to the required standards and meet safety regulations. The
Panel Builder’s goal is to produce reliable and efficient electrical control panels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assembly and wiring of industrial control panels.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to read controls schematics.
• Must be able to safely operate power and hand tools.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Requires a minimum of 1 year panel building experience.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of electricity.
• Forklift operating experience.
